School Run Society Case Study - with Amy Michell-Stamp
Having known Hannah for over 20 years, I have followed her journey from her corporate role to motherhood, and then setting up You Need a Hannah and flourishing in life! Following a change in personal circumstances (moving abroad due to my husband’s job), I was inspired to enrol in her School Run Society course that started in September 2025 – in line with the school term of course!
I was excited to learn new skills and be able to run my own business whilst still being present for family life and not missing any of those key moments – sports days, school assemblies etc – due to having to be in the office. I also want to set a good example to my daughter, who is 7 – that we are strong, independent women who can be a great mum and also have a career!
The SRS course was 12 weeks, with each week consisting of a pre-recorded video and slides, a live session to discuss the topic and progress, and numerous supporting documents. These included set homework and daily ‘tiny tasks’ to reduce the feeling of overwhelm. One subject per week was covered, making it manageable to fit in around life’s other demands. I felt fully supported the whole way, working my way through the course, diligently completing each stage – learning new things and building my own business at the same time. Hannah was brilliantly knowledgeable about everything, and always available to answer my random questions along the way! The WhatsApp group offered great support too – building each other up on our own individual journeys.

To set up my own business, I followed each week’s course, completed the tiny tasks and played around with ideas until I settled on my company name, STAMPd.Assist. Stages included finding your key skills and converting these into services to offer others, branding and logos, the legal side of it all, finding and onboarding clients, and tools of the trade – it covered everything!
I went live 2 months ago (eek!!) – building a website and also setting up LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook pages, and the response has been great! So far, I have signed ongoing retainer contracts with 3 very different, but all equally brilliant and lovely clients, and have had numerous other businesses interested. 2026 will be a good year!
